Virginia lived in Colorado Springs, Colorado most of her life and was born with the heart of a cowgirl. She loved the western culture, rodeo, and horses. Her early life revolved around ranch life and the riding and grooming of horses. She was a homemaker but worked at various times outside of the home as a cook, waitress, deputy for the city jail, and for Union Printer’s Home. Later in life Virginia cultivated her talent for painting western pictures, sculpturing, and creating art from gourds. Virginia had a zest for life and lived it on her own terms. Anyone who knew Virginia knew that she had a special place in her heart for her grandchildren and family.
The family would like to extend our deepest gratitude to “A Robin’s Nest” staff and Abode Hospice for their exceptional and compassionate care.
Virginia was well loved and will be greatly missed by her family and friends. A celebration of life service and funeral will be held at Swan Law Funeral Home, 501 North Cascade Ave., Colorado Springs, Colorado on January 15, 2022 at 1:00 PM.
