the logging camps of Stillwater and Campbell River, British Columbia, Canada.
He graduated from the University of North Dakota and earned a medical degree
at the University of Washington in Seattle. It is there that he met and
married his wife, Kay. He volunteered to serve in the military during two wars.
Later he and his wife moved to Colorado Springs where they raised their family
and Walt practiced medicine for 35 years. During retirement he enjoyed his two
passions--spending time with his family and fishing. He is survived by his five daughters
and their families.
The family will be receiving and greeting friends from 11:30 – 12:45 p.m. at Holy Trinity Catholic Church, 3122 Poinsetta Dr., Colorado Springs, CO with a Mass of Christian Burial planned for 1:00 p.m. Private burial to follow.
