Lance was Born in Honolulu, Hawaii., and relocated with his family to Colorado Springs, Colorado in 1953.
Lance's early life was not short of challenges in dealing with multiple brain conditions, including epilepsy. With his family’s support and love, Lance developed a great liking of sports and enjoyed following his family’s multiple successes within football and basketball; watching their stats and providing them insight into their victories. Lance also savored the wonderful visits from his nieces with their dedicated relationship and support. With the passing of Walter L. Medeiros, Patty Langness stepped in to care for Lance, and he continued to thrive with the introduction of each and every additional child born into the family. Lance loved to keep up with ongoing sports including his favorite teams (the New England Patriots and the Kansas City Chiefs), as well as his devotion to church and the wonderful relationships found there. His child like demeanor was important to all of the children in the family, giving them a sense of importance and everlasting relationships no matter their age. Lance brought a smile to all those around him and was nothing short of sincere. He will truly be missed by all those that he graced in his lifetime.
In addition to Lance’s parents, Walter Louis Medeiros and Henrietta Medeiros, he was predeceased by Marlene Parquette (sister), Jason Parquette (nephew) and Kerry Langness (brother in-law). Lance is survived by his brother-in-law Michael Parquette, brother Vernon (Kimberly/Karen Rackley) Medeiros, his sister Patricia Langness, nieces: Kristine (Jay) Mangers, Alexis Medeiros and Bianca (Dean) Garcia. He is also survived by his nephews: Adam Parquette, Taylor Medeiros, Micah (Eunice) Langness, Phillip (Amy) Langness, Aaron (Emily) Langness, (grandnephews Jamen and Tanner) and great grandnephew Logan, as well as grandnieces and grandnephews: Esha, Noah, Breven, Christian, and Gabriella Langness.
