Lt Col William (Bill) D Husted Ret was born in Cornell, IL to Lyle and Viola Husted. He married Jayne, his beloved wife of 67 years, on Oct 12, 1947. Bill served in The United States Air Force for 23 years as one of “The Greatest Generation.” This was followed by a second career with the United States Postal Service. He was dedicated to God, Country, family, friends, and was a modest humanitarian.
Bill leaves behind his wife Jayne; their four children, Barbara, Mary, Charles, and Gwen; four Grandchildren, Bill, Cindy, Jon and Conner; six great grandchildren and three great, great grandchildren. All who loved him dearly.
A Memorial Service will be held at Gateway Presbyterian Church, 731 Castle Rd, Colorado Springs on April 25, 2015 at 10:30 A.M.
