Major William David Mason, born on March 24, 1922 in Coketon, West Virginia, passed away on July 5, 2011 in Colorado Springs. William graduated from the UCCS with a Bachelor’s Degree in Education. He was a 30 year veteran of the United States Air Force.
William is survived by his wife, Norma Grody Mason; children, Tara (Robert) Matthews of Pueblo, CO, Rhonda (Mark) Miller of Alabaster, AL, Narda Brown of Portland, OR, David (Pamela) Mason of Colorado Springs and Regina (Thomas) Dreiling of Oakley, CA. He is also survived by six grandchildren and five great grandchildren.
Visitation will be from 5:00-7:00 PM, Sunday, July 10, 2011 at Swan Law Funeral Directors, 501 N. Cascade Ave, Colorado Springs, CO 80903. Graveside services will take place at 11:00 AM, Tuesday, July 12, 2011 at Fort Logan National Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to Operation Smile.
