

Bill or “Billy” as his mother (Martha) and father (Scottie) called him, was born in Butte, Montana, and later moved to Denver, CO, where he attended North High School. He earned his Bachelor of Science in Business Administration at Denver University in 1955. His professional career began at Sears Roebuck, and he eventually moved into commercial real estate.
Bill met his wife, Felicita Zarlengo, while they were on a blind date. They were married on January 21,1956, and had five children, Terrie Robbie (Leslie Hilderbrandt), Sharon VanderPoel (Pete), and sons, David Robbie (Jolinda Cohavi) and James Robbie (Kathy). He was preceded in death by his wife, Felicita Robbie and daughter, Carol Robbie. He adored their three dogs and 4 cats throughout the years.
Bill was a proud Scotsman known for his gift of gab and never met a stranger. He loved to tell stories and was always up for a new adventure. He enjoyed skiing until the age of 83, golfed weekly and was proud to have had more than one hole-in-one. Bill never missed a Broncos game and had season tickets for over 50 years. He loved going to DU Hockey, Rockies, and Avalanche games.
Bill was involved in many organizations in Colorado Springs including the Chamber of Commerce, Brockhurst Boys Ranch, Heartbeat Survivors after Suicide, Broadmoor Rotary Club (Past President), Argonauts, and St. Paul Knights of Columbus (Trustee), to name a few.
A funeral mass will be held on Tuesday, October 13th at 10:00 a.m., followed by a Celebration of Life at St. Paul Catholic Church, 9 El Pomar Road, Colorado Springs, CO.
