Zachary Cam Nguyen

Zachary Cam Nguyen, age 28, of Colorado Springs, passed away on April 23, 2026, after a bravely fought battle against a rare and aggressive cancer. Born on September 29, 1997, in Colorado Springs, Zach was the beloved husband of Grace Moyer Nguyen and son of Dong and Paulette Nguyen. Zach lived a life marked by kindness, patience, and humor, resulting in a happy, easy-going, and good-natured spirit that drew people to him wherever he went.

Zach is survived by his loving wife, Grace Nguyen; his parents, Dong and Paulette Nguyen; his younger sister, Zoe Nguyen; his paternal grandfather, Dieu Nguyen; many much-loved aunts, uncles, cousins, in-laws, and friends. He was preceded in death by his paternal grandmother, Loi Nguyen, and maternal grandparents, Cam and Kim Vo.

Zach graduated from Air Academy High School in Colorado Springs in 2016 before earning his Bachelor of Science degree in Environmental Engineering from the University of Colorado Boulder in 2020. He was working as an Environmental Engineer for AECOM in Honolulu when he was diagnosed with cancer.

Zach found joy in spending time with family and friends, especially while playing games together. He loved snowboarding in the Colorado mountains, playing pickleball in both Colorado and Hawaii, and cheering on his favorite team, the Denver Nuggets.

Zach will be remembered for his gentle heart, quiet strength, and the warmth and laughter he brought to those around him. Though his life was far too short, Zach’s courage, resilience, and loving spirit left a lasting impact on everyone who knew him. He will be deeply missed and forever remembered.

A Celebration of Life for Zach will be held on Thursday, May 14, 2026, at Mountain Springs Church, 7345 Adventure Way, Colorado Springs, CO 80923, beginning at 12:30 PM. A reception will follow.
