Albert James Robinson

Albert grew up in Starkville, Mississippi. He graduated from Oktibbeha County Training School, in Starkville, Mississippi in 1957. Among the many occupations he had were cashier for a local grocery store, a tool keeper at John C. Freemont High School for the Los Angeles Unified School district, a foundry worker for Western Lead. Later in life he realized his passion and became an Independent Truck Driver for his own company, A & L Trucking.

Albert married Dorothy L. Tates in Los Angeles, California on January 21st, 1961. They were happily married for 56 years. He enjoyed watching the Dodgers and Western movies.

Albert is survived by his spouse, Dorothy L. Robinson of Moreno Valley, California; his four children Leonard Frieson of Jacksonville, Florida, Michelle Robinson Ross, of Moreno Valley, California, Sandra Y. Toles of Riverside, California and Stacey D. Scott of Moreno Valley, California; his five grandchildren; Antwon Frieson, Nichelle L. Rodriquez, Jasmine M. Frieson, Baileigh D. Scott, Burness R. Scott, III, and his four great grand children, Jabril, Caron, Thai, Aaliyah as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

Viewing will be from 4:00pm to 8:00pm on Tuesday, March 21, 2017 at Montecito Valley View Chapel. Graveside service will be held at 1:00pm on Wednesday, March 22, 2017 at Montecito Memorial Park both at 3520 E. Washington Street, Colton, CA 92324.
