Andre Eugene Grubbs

Andre Eugene Grubbs was born on July 30, 1959, in Denver, Colorado. He was raised in Pasadena, California, by his parents, Anthony and Donnie Grubbs.

He loved the Lord and accepted Jesus Christ as his personal Savior at an early age. Andre graduated from Blair High School in 1977.

Andre enjoyed playing sports. In his youth, he was an avid baseball and basketball player and even enjoyed bowling and a few sets of tennis. In his later years, he became a video game aficionado. He also had a love for dogs. He would bring home a puppy every now and then to see if he could keep it.

He was employed by DPI-West until his illness required him to stop working.

He went to be with the Lord on March 5, 2015.

He leaves to rejoice in his memory, parents Anthony and Donnie Grubbs of Oklahoma City, OK, his wife, Ava Grubbs, of San Bernardino, CA, his children, Shineka Conover (Brian) of Las Vegas, NV, Tyrell Grubbs, of Las Vegas, NV, his blended family, Ginova Rush-Fox, LeVon Vance, his brother, Darryl Grubbs of Corona, CA, sister Adrienne Edmond (Howard) of North Edwards, CA, a special cousin, Elise Wilder of Edina, MN, nieces, nephews and a host of relatives and friends.

Andre loved his family and his family loved him.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, March 12, 2015, 4-8 p.m. and Funeral Service on Friday, March 13, 2015, 11 a.m., both at Montecito Valley View Chapel, 3520 E. Washington St., Colton, California, followed by burial at Montecito Memorial Park.
