

Arthur M. Lopez was born on June 3, 1925, in Elsinore, California, and passed away on Thursday, November 27, 2025, in Riverside, CA. He enlisted in the army after completing 11th grade and was inducted into the army at Fort MacArthur in San Pedro, CA on March 1, 1944. Art served in WWII from March 1, 1944, until May 22, 1946, and continued to serve in the U.S. Army Reserve from May 22, 1946, until May 21, 1949. He was Honorably Discharged in May of 1949.
Art married Lucy Gonzales on January 23, 1950. They were married for 70 years and had four children.
He was the Founder and President of Artlo Industries, a precast concrete manufacturer from 1950 until 2008.
He served as Booster Club President at La Sierra High School in Riverside from 1973-1975 and was a member of the Alvord School Board of Education from 1975-1980. He also served on the Board of the Latin American Management Association (LAMA), in various positions from 1980-2000. On September 22, 2000, Art was appointed by President Clinton to serve on the National Veterans Business Development Corporation (NVBDC) from 2000-2006.
He was also an active member of the Knights of Columbus at St. Thomas Catholic Church in Riverside, CA. for several years.
Art is survived by his four children: Veronica Kortz, Mark Lopez, Elizabeth
Baumann, and Theresa Cook; 15 Grandchildren, 19 Great Grandchildren, 2 Great-Great Grandchildren.
A visitation will be held at Montecito Memorial Park and Mortuary, Valley View Chapel, located at 3520 E. Washington Street, Colton, California, 92324, on December 20, 2025, from 9:00 am to 10:00 am.
The funeral service will follow at the same location from 10:00 am to 11:00 am.
The committal will take place at Montecito Memorial Park, 3520 E. Washington St, Colton, CA, 92324, from 11:30 am to 12:00 pm.
