

Rebecca Lynn Bishop was born in Apple Valley, California, May 14, 1966. The oldest Daughter of Paula Burkholder, "Becky" grew up in San Bernardino with her three younger siblings, Christine, Brian, Jonathan, and stepsister Shelly. Through the family's ups and downs, she was a role model and a source of support and strength for her younger sister and brothers. From an early age Becky was hard-working and motivated to achieve excellence in all she did. As a student, Becky earned the highest grades in her classes. She graduated from Little Mountain Christian School at the age of sixteen in 1983 and attended Biola University. At the age of eighteen, she began working in retail and quickly rose to management. At the age of twenty-four, she moved away to Fairfield, California, for a promotion, but returned to the Inland Empire after two years. In 1992, she was diagnosed with Type I diabetes. In 1998, at the age of thirty-three, she moved back home to San Bernardino to take care of her mother, whose health was in decline. She was a beloved "Auntie" to her nieces and nephews and a cherished companion to her mother and siblings. She also cherished and was cherished by many friends. Sadly, through the last decade, Becky suffered many complications due to her condition. After complications related to her diabetes, Rebecca Lynn Bishop died March 3, 2010.
