Caridad Cavero Cordero

Caridad Cavero Cordero passed away on May 25, 2026 at the age of 73 having been born on Aug. 1, 1953 in Hindang, Leyte Philippines and residing in Rialto, CA since 1991. She was the eldest of seven children of Rufino and Apolinaria Cavero. She obtained her Bachelor of Science in Nursing, class of 1975, in Velez College Cebu City, Philippines. She married Alberto Cordero on Jan. 31, 1976 and had four children (Marjorie, Maricel, Aris, Mae Ann) and seven grandchildren (Ludivina, Marc, JR, Jeremiah, Alfred, Nathaniel, Aaron).

She worked as a public health nurse for 4 yrs in Baybay, Leyte Philippines as her first job. Then she moved to Palo, Leyte Philippines and worked in UPIHS (University of Philippine Institute of Health Science) for 4 yrs as a nurse instructor. She migrated to New Jersey USA in 1986 with hopes of creating a better future for her family. She worked in Stone Arc Health Care Center for 5 yrs, Summercede Medical Center for 2 yrs as part time, and 3 yrs as a private duty nurse. She moved to California in 1991 and worked in St. Bernardine Hospital and San Bernardino Community Hospital as a telemetry nurse until she retired at age 66. Also, she worked as per diem in Las Vegas, Nevada thru an agency for 2 years.

She loved to travel with family and friends and collecting postcards and magnets on each place she visited for her souvenirs. Aside from that, she liked to take pictures and videos. She was nice and quiet but liked parties and was fond of dancing and singing karaoke. She was one very active member of a non profit organization called HINSA (Hindanganon sa America). She was in charge of making programs and invitations for HINSA fiesta. Despite whatever hardship or obstacle she encountered in her lifetime, she was determined, strong, and a fighting person. Overall, she was an intuitive, generous, loving, kind and good person.

A Viewing and Service will be held at Montecito Memorial Park & Mortuary, Cypress Chapel, 24145 Barton Road, Loma Linda, California 92354, on June 26, 2026, from 4:00 pm to 9:00 pm.
