Carl Joesph Molner passed away peacefully on July 3, 2020. He was born on October 6, 1937 in Los Angeles, California to Eugene and Barbara and grew up with his large family including his 6 other siblings. He graduated from Downey High School and met his loving wife, Lu, in 1962, married in 1964, and shortly after they had their daughter, Carla. Carl worked over 28 years in the cable tv business before retiring in 2000, and was an active member and Eucharist Minister of Our Lady of Hope Catholic Church. He was a member of both Knights of Columbus and the Highland Senior Center, where he volunteered countless hours taking fellow members to appointments. Carl and Lu loved to travel and visited many beautiful places together, and he also loved playing poker, visiting the casino, and being with family.
Carl was preceded in death by his parents and brothers, Dave and Gene. Carl is survived by his brothers Don (Shirley) and Vic (Sylvia), sisters Alice Williamson (Jake) and Marion Rhoads, sister-in-law June Molner, his loving wife of 55 years, Lu, daughter Carla Lowery (Gage) and his two grandchildren, Brissa and Tara. He leaves behind many nieces and nephews, other beloved relatives, and friends he loved like family.
Carl was a loving father, brother, papa and friend that will be forever remembered by all. Although our hearts are heavy, we must celebrate his life and find comfort that he is in heaven with God watching over us.
