Your mom was a beautiful amazing woman and very sweet. I'm very grateful that I got know her. My condolences to the family. I love you guys and I will be praying for comfort and strength.

I was first privileged to know Carolyn as a collaborative partner through her work with San Bernardino Valley College.    She participated as a member of the San Bernardino County Foster Youth Advisory Board  that was facilitated through the San Bernardino County Superintendent of Schools, Foster Youth Initiative.  I also got to know her through SBVC’s Black Faculty & Staff events promoting improved outcomes for students and particularly African American students.  However, the sweetest connection with Carolyn was that which we shared as sisters in Christ!  Her love of God, the people of God and for the gospel was sincere and she modeled it in her personal and professional relationships.  She lit up a room with her smile and it was always a joy to share the same space in her company.  Praying for all her friends and family for I know she will be missed.  Rest In Jesus.🕊🌿

My mom what can I say other than I miss you. Funny thing is I never thought I’d miss you so much, I mean you lived a long fulfilled life, but I do. And while my flesh is hurting, the spiritual man inside me takes joy in knowing that you are resting and are at peace. You taught me so many things but most importantly that I must deal with hand that I’m dealt whether good or bad and although at times it hurt and I didn’t understand, I know that it was for my good and helped mold me into the woman I am today and for that I will always be grateful. Mother Lindsey was a pillar in my spiritual upbringing at New Hope/Holyland COGIC.  She was always kind yet firm.  She meant what she said and did not play about God or the things of God.  There is a generation of young men and women who a better because Mother Lindsey came this way…and I am one of them.  Rest well Queen Mother…your labor has not been in vain!  Love you always!  Praying for my dear sister Mary and the entire family.  

As God has  blessed me to become acquainted with mother lenses it was always a blessing to set in her office and listen to the wisdom she shared with me, she kept me on my toes and kept up with my progress  until she retired and blessed me with her daughter  Mary, to continue on where she left off, my humblest condolences to the family. Gone but never forgotten. 

August 1982, I had the honor of meeting my forever extended California family. Walked on to Valley College campus and introduced myself to one of the sweetest, fiery little women ever created. Through happen-chance I would meet the rest of the clan. Over the years, despite long absences her home and heart always remained open. Always willing to give encouragement and discipline when needed. Forever in my heart 💖! Curtis

Mother Lindsey was my hair client for years before I left California in 2010. I absolutely loved her. She was a true mother, but not in the traditional since. She was godly, loving and kind.....but she was raw, honest and could get you together in the most loving way!! The best part of our time together was our talks....oh how I miss them!! She let me pick her brain, and I got the privilege of listening to her wisdom through her years of experience and living. She absolutely valued her family and loved her children. They were the most important assets to her life as she would say often. She always included them in our talks. I am soooo happy to have known her and my life still has benefited from her love and wisdom. Words cannot express my sadness at her passing.  But I am profoundly glad and honored to have known Ms. Carolyn as friend and client!! Sending all my love and prayers to her children and family.

Hey Family!! My Love is with you ALL!! Mom Lindsey will ALWAYS be thought of with Love & Smiles. She ALWAYS called me, "Baby" and that always makes me feel & know she loved me. This earth is better because she lived.... She will NEVER be forgotten. I Love you ALL!!
