I am so sorry for your loss. Yes, I know, I am a ghost from the past. I pray God is with all of you.

Dear mom, 
As I sit her on my bed to write this note, makes my heartaches remembering all the amazing family memories we had with you while you were still here with us. I long for your voice, your smile, your LAUGH, your joyful presence, and your beautiful unique self.  My heart is broken for you and life will never be the same without you here.  It deeply saddens me that Kaiya and Kace did not get to experience your presence very long, however, I'm very grateful that they will always remember you as the kind, fun, and loving Lola that you are.  Despite of all the sorrows and sadness that I'm going through, it's  comforting  to know that you are no longer in pain and now in heaven with God rejoicing with all our other loved ones.  We will see you in heaven someday.  I love you so much Mom and I miss you more than words can described.

I don't even know how to begin...
  To say Cecilia is a loss is too short, not fine enough for words. In the few years I had the privilege to know her it was clear who she was as a person.  I realized that the first time I met her.  I now have the privileged of raising one of her beautiful grandsons, Myles, and spending my life with her beautiful daughter, Anna.  It is a blessing, which seems to be what Cecilia brought to us all. THANK YOU MA'AM,   For all those you served and for the positive mark you have left on the lives of so many.  Words aren't enough.  The respect runs deeper than one could imagine.  It was an absolute honor to be a pall-bearer for you. My gloves and prayers rest with you ma'am.

I was overwhelmed by grief after learning of my Mom's passing the night of 6/21/17.  I wrote this thinking of her after coming home from the hospital:  It was so sad dear Lord. No one understands how and why it happened. Life is so fragile. Death can be so sudden and tragic. Unexpected. There's sadness and grief overflowing for Mom's lost and passing. She was bigger than life..her happy spirit..her resilience..forgiving heart and kind soul. There are things I wish I could have done more with and for her..wished I spent more time to let her know I loved her more than ever... that I am grateful for everything..that she is an awesome Mom despite of her shortcomings. I, we just love her very much. May you rest in peace forever in God's hand my dear Mom.

Dearest Mom, 

I miss you dearly, I miss your presence, your smile, your laugh. I'm so glad that I was able to spend a lot of time with you and dad during my college and professional days. I cherish the times we would go to church and where we would sit on the couch and watch basketball or wheel of fortune. It's not the same without you as you were often the life of the party and you were always full of life and positivity. It's especially hard for me as I still feel your presence in my heart, but I know you would want me to be strong and keep striving to do my best in life. Although our lives will go on, I know you are at peace and you are rejoicing with God in heaven. You will always be in my heart and I'll do my best to take care of dad and our family. Thank you for being my mother, my friend, my nurturer, and for showing me the love of Christ! Love you Mom and see you in heaven!

My dear Mother you left us too soon. My heart is broken every single day yet your presence still remains. Your passing occurred so quickly, it was difficult to feel the emotions I felt. Things have finally slowed down and our hearts can finally grieve and accept the loss of the beautiful soul you were to all of us. Not a day goes by I don't think about you. Whenever I leave work I envision you waving hello to me at a mountain near by my work's parking lot. Whenever I am in the car alone I think of you beside me having our random chats. When I go out to the garden to water my plants I think of you walking around the yard and admiring the growing plants with me. Summy always talks about you and how she misses you. She said she feels like you're still here and watching over us. Whenever she finds something you gave her she would run up to me and say Mama look what Lola gave me just a reminder of how giving you were as a mother/grandmother. To this day I still cannot sleep with the thoughts of you on my mind. Life feels empty without you and it always will. I always think about Dad and his well-being without you. It pains me to think of the nights he has to sleep without you by his side. His mornings are colder and no cooked meals from you anymore. I pray things get easier for all of us but deep in my heart I know the pain will never leave. My dear Mother I love and miss you so much. I look forward to the day we can all be together again. I look forward to getting your warm hugs and the smile on your face that lights up our soul. See you soon my beloved Mother.

To my ever dearest one & only mother I am dedicating this eulogy speech that I spoke on your memorial service held on 7/1/17 @ 1300 to you to remember you whenever I look at this book. I love you & I will miss you so much. "Hello my name is Michael; I'm the oldest of Cecilia's 5 children. Thank you for coming to honor my good mother. My mother taught me how to be responsible at a young age. She's the one who taught me John 3:16 & she had me memorize it. She tried to encourage  me to learn how to play piano. She sang the song to me entitled "Jesus Loves Me" & "Young Soldier" when I was young. She loved all her kids & she showed it by singing funny songs & called us different endearing names. My loving mother was half Chinese & Filipino. She was born on August 7 short of 2 months prior to her 69th birthday. She was a proud American. She likes to be outside walking, visiting her friends & neighbors. She had me ride on the back of her bike & we would go places to visit her friends & neighbors when I was young because she liked to share the good news or Gospel to them. I vividly remembered her waking up early in the morning on Saturday while we were still asleep & she would surprise us with our favorite foods from the market. She loved seeing our happy little faces get excited over what she brought for us. My mother had many genuine qualities, she was: kind, resourceful, creative, hard worker, beautiful, generous, & friendly. One of her most pertinent quality was her dedication to public service. She was a dedicated public servant as a public health nurse & midwife. She visited bad neighborhoods & taught family planning to poor & struggling families. She did the feeding program in the health clinic for the malnourished children in the Philippines. When we migrated to the United States, she brought this mentality of being a public servant by helping in different  programs in her church. She also loved to help those in need by volunteering in donation programs, food banks, & participating in various out reaches in church. Today (7/1/17), we celebrate my mother's life, but I also want to emphasize the loving relationship she had with Jesus Christ. She knew Jesus Christ as her personal Savior & she would want you to also have a personal relationship with Him. The Bible says that Jesus died for your sins & rose again the third day. He wants you to have the free gift of everlasting life through confessing your sins & accepting Him as your personal Savior. You can do it simply by praying to God & asking Him. These are the Bible verses that we're going to look forward to on II Corinthians 4:18 & Revelation 21:4.

To a beloved cousin, whose love and life reflected God's love and abundant grace, we will miss you.  While we did not talk frequently in the last few years, I always felt joyful when we did because I knew I was talking to a sister at heart.  Her heart loved the Lord and her hope was built on nothing less.  She had lightness in her soul - no grudges from the past, no bitter regrets, always smiling!  Good night ate Cecile!  We will miss you!

Our deepest love and prayers are extended to your family. We are SO very saddened by the loss of OUR Cecilia. She was such a love to have in our exercise class. WE will deeply miss her, but we will always have her with us in our hearts and minds. She will always have her chair saved for her in our class. We LOVE HER and she is our Family.
