My brother was a good brother. He would always come when I needed him. He would cut my grass, paint my house (better than anyone else) and do whatever I needed. My neighbor called him the working brother. I love him and will miss him.

 My oldest brother, we used to talk on the phone all the time, 
up until he became sick and went to the nursing home. Sometimes we would talk for 45min to an hour, mostly talking about cars. We both liked cars, so we had a good conversations about cars.  When he saw a new car at the show or at the car lot or even on the street he would call me. We were really close!!!!
I will miss you, Little brother Ken

I will miss my brother, but he is in a better place. A place where he can see our Mother and Father,sister and bother and most of all he can see Jesus. A place where the weary will be at rest, a place of Joy.

Everyone is known for something in their lifetime. How wonderful that my Uncle Charles will always be remembered for his love for family, kindness to others - and that Beautiful smile that he gave free to all he loved. I will always remember my Uncle for this and hold him dear in my heart.

To Debra Hawkins Taylor and family, I want to express my sympathy to you and your family in this time of loss.  I know what a sad time this is for you all.  May God's peace be with you in the days ahead.

Never forget you Mr Hawkins,  You taught me how to change breaks in my car when I was 15 years old.  You will be truly missed but one day we will all be together again.  God bless the boys and I know we all will always keep you in our memories.....

We are all going to miss Charles, we had many, many, many, enjoyable times together.

I am glad I went to see Charles every other Sunday when he was in Country Villa.  I have happy memories of him after he moved to California and I miss him very much.

As a young boy, my father would always take my brother and I to your house.  There, we would always make unforgettable memories.  Roderic and Charles, so sorry for your loss.  Charles was a wonderful uncle.

Brother Charles, when I was born ,you were 19 years old. I remember you as kind and always smiling. Every time you would see me, your words were" hey sis Jackson" (our grandmother) on our mother's side. He thought I looked a lot like her. Rest peacefuliy, love you brother.

Charles taught me how to drive and he also accompanied my mother and I to look for my first car. I have such nice memories of Charles when I was growing up. He was a sweetheart.

Charles was one of the most kindest persons that I've ever met...except when you wanted to stop and eat somewhere other than McDonalds when we used to travel with he and his family to Texarkana!  Loved him some Mickey D's! You will be missed Charles. Rest in Love!

My brother-in-law Charles Hawkins was a great guy who loved his family and automobiles.  I was fascinated with his detailed knowledge of all cars, and his excitement for the new models.

Uncle Charles, I'm glad that I was able to see you 3 years ago in California. Rest peacefully.

I remember Charles, my oldest brother, 17 yrs. my senior, as kind hearted. He would always hold the babies. If they were crying, he would take them to comfort. You can see him in several family pictures holding someone's baby. And yes, he loved cars. When I saw him in June 2012 we looked at cars on my iPad. He was amazed at what he could see on the iPad.

I remember going to California for the first time without my parents and my mother told me that Uncle Charles would take me where ever I wanted to go.  He did; he drove Robbie, Michael and me everywhere.  I also remember on that trip that I convinced him to order a senior meal and when the meal came it was so little food and he looked at me like what did you have me order.  He smiled and ate it anyway.

My oldest brother, 22 yrs older than me.I remember the brand new cars he always drove. As a child growing up in Texarkana Tx I always looked forward to seeing him in his new car every year when he would come for the holidays. I couldnt wait get grown so i could get a new car like my big brother.love u brother

You will be missed Uncle Charles.  I remember lots of happy times and that smile.  I love you

Uncle Charles was awesome I remember he used to agree with all the other uncles that I talked to much hahaha!! Guess what Uncle Charles that's what I do all day is talk now. Wish I could have told you in person I'm a Coach so I get paid to talk. Love you man!!!
