She was born on December 1, 1923, in the city of Pénjamo, Guanajuato, Mexico, to Ramon and Simona Reyes. As early pioneers to the Pacoima area, her family moved to California and she was raised in the San Fernando Valley.
As a life-long learner, she completed a college degree at 50 years old and inspired others to make education a priority. She was energetic, beautiful, independent, intelligent, savvy and had a devotion and love for the Lord.
She never left the house without lipstick.
Connie was preceded in death by her two sons, Stephen Hernandez and Kenneth Reyes. She is survived by her daughter, Beverly Nelson Walker, and sons, Anthony Reyes and Ismael Reyes.
Connie leaves a large legacy. Five generations have enjoyed her spirited personality
