Consuelo Ceballos (Lopez) - Mena aka Chelo or Connie was a woman who endured many hardships throughout her life. Connie's life journey made her to be a strong woman in character. Although, she sustained hardships growing up and throughout her life she still managed to love life. She loved music, dancing and other events. She was part of the Calpulli "Makuill Ollin Ocelotl. While she sat watching the dance practices and performances she shook her sonaja (rattle) to the drum beats. She enjoyed the Aztec dancing and at times, she participated in the "Friendship Dance".
Connie was 94 years old when she passed away peacefully at her daughter Corina's home on March 17, 2021 dementia being the primary factor.
The Ceballos were known for being a large family of nine boys and three girls. Consuelo lived all her life on the Westside of San Bernardino, Ca. She graduated from San Bernardino High School. Connie retired from "Baseline Laundry Cleaners" where she worked for more than 25 years.
Connie was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and friend who would always do for her family.
Her children: Son Leonard (Albert) Lopez (Deceased1998), Daughter Christina Chastain, Son Sabino Lopez III (Nino), Daughter Corina Martinez (Lopez)
