Cruz Saavedra

August 28, 1944 - October 25, 2025

Our beloved Cruz Saavedra went home to be with the Lord, leaving behind a legacy of faith, compassion, and unconditional love that will forever live in our hearts.

Cruz was a devoted mother, sister, aunt, grandmother, great-grandmother, and great-great-grandmother. She was blessed with three children, ten grandchildren, sixteen great-grandchildren (two of whom have gone before her), and one great-great-grandchild. Her family was the light of her life, and she made each of us feel as though we were the most important person in the world.

A true daughter of Jesus, Cruz’s faith guided her every day. She prayed over her loved ones constantly—whether we were leaving her home, heading on a trip, or simply saying goodbye, she would lift us up to God, asking for his protection and blessings. Her prayers were her way of loving, and her love was her greatest ministry. This world was only our temporary home. Now, she is truly home—safe in the arms of her savior, surrounded by everlasting peace and love.

Her empathy and compassion touched everyone she met. She taught us through her actions what it means to care deeply, to forgive freely, and to live faithfully. Though we will miss her dearly, we find comfort in knowing she is now resting in her eternal home, reunited with those who went before her. Her legacy of faith, kindness, and love will continue to live on in each one of us.
