The sun rose for Delbert Eugene Arroyo on August 7, 1955. His final sunset was on January 28, 2026. He was preceded in death by his father Seferino Arroyo.
He is survived by his mother Della Arroyo; siblings Ann, Patricia, William (Rebecca) and Charles (Pam).
He was an Uncle and Great Uncle to thirteen nieces and nephews. His partner of many years was Cheri Wedley. She was by his side during his final moments.
Delbert, affectionately known as Del, grew up in Colton, CA. In 1973 he graduated from Colton Union High School. In the late 1970’s he moved to San Jose, CA where he lived for the remainder of his life. Professionally, Del worked in management within the plastic manufacturing business for over thirty years.
Outside of work he had many hobbies but his true passion lay in training his beloved Australian Shepherds Mindy, Cody and Gunner in obedience and agility disciplines. He loved them so much.
Del, as we lay you to rest, be at peace. We love you and may the perpetual light of our Lords Jesus Christ shine upon you.
Until We Meet Again (by Cory Asbury)
May the road rise up to meet you
The wind be at your back
May the sun shine warm upon you
May there be nothin’ that you lack
And may your heart be forgiving
Even when you do wrong
And let your lonely soul be filled with a song
Until we meet again
And I know you’re in good hands
The road may wind, and the river bends
But I’ll hold you in my heart
Until we meet again
