Born April 12, 1949, in Los Angeles, California, Diane will be remembered as a beloved presence in the lives of those who had the privilege to know her, and for the steady kindness she extended to family, friends, colleagues, and community alike.

Diane pursued higher education with purpose and dedication, earning a Bachelor’s Degree and completing post graduate studies in Speech and Language Pathology. Her commitment to learning became a foundation for a life of service to others.

Diane shared 52 years of marriage with her husband, Ronald Smith. She was the mother of a son, Jeffrey Smith, and his wife Emily, and grandmother to their two children, Roland and Kenley.
