

Donald Frederick Cook was born in Boston, Massachusetts on August 22, 1961. Around 2 years old, he and his family moved from Boston to Los Angeles, California. He is the oldest of 3 brothers. He and his two brothers, David and Darren Cook, were raised by their mother, Dolores Cook. They lived and grew up in the Ramona Gardens Projects in Boyle Heights. Growing up in East Los Angeles was not an easy thing to do. He had a hard upbringing, and he was the protector of his 2 younger brothers.
On April 23, 1988, Donald married Elia in Las Vegas, Nevada. They celebrated their 35th wedding anniversary this past April. His wife, Elia, never left his side and was with him until he took his very last breath.
Donald worked hard his entire life. He loved life and lived it to the fullest. He loved fishing, horse racing, baseball, and music. His favorite band was Rush. More importantly, he loved his family. This includes his wife, children, grandchildren, brothers, sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law, and many nieces and nephews. He was the dad, grandpa, and uncle who loved all of the kids in his family unconditionally. He is survived by his wife Elia, sons Donald and Brian, daughter Brittany, and six grandchildren.
Donald spent over 2 weeks in the hospital trying to get better. Even in his last few hours, his heart fought hard to keep going. He passed away on Monday, December 11, 2023. He was 62 years old. He was surrounded by his loved ones at the time of his passing. He will be missed dearly by all of those who love him.
