Dudley Ronald Rue, age 57, passed away on Wednesday, December 04, 2019 at University of New Mexico Medical Center in Albuquerque. He was born November 28, 1962 in Long Beach, CA to Dudley and Stella Rue. He attended St. Adelaide’s School where he served as an altar boy. He was a 1980 graduate of San Gorgonio High School and soon became a member of the Laborers Union Local 783 as a Concrete Specialist. Dudley retired with 25 years in the union. After he retired, he enrolled at San Bernardino Valley College and earned MANY certifications for Auto Mechanics. Going back to school was truly his passion, he loved learning everyday, that’s what made life exciting for him.. He enjoyed life to the fullest through simple pleasures, working on cars, going to Dodger games on Sunday with his dad, fishing at Lake Gregory, riding his bike, walking his dog, Blue and BBQ-ing. He loved going out for Sushi and tacos with his daughter Marisa. Dudley loved his mom dearly and always came over for a great home cooked meal. One of his mom’s many jobs was being his secretary. He loved visiting with his little brother Timothy and sister-in-law Shannon, his nephew Ryan and great nephew Xavier. Dudley was a humble and simple man with a contagious laugh.
He will be missed dearly by his daughter Marisa, parents Dudley and Stella Rue, and all his closest family and friends. Family, friends, and others whose lives Dudley touched are invited to St. Adelaide’s Church Dec. 20, 2019 for services: Rosary at 9:30am with Mass to follow at 10am, Burial at 11:30am at Montecito Memorial Park, reception to follow.
