Edna Ella Marcus, 91, of Houston, Texas, formerly of Santa Ana Heights (Newport Beach), passed away March 2, 2014 of natural causes. Edna was born in Topeka, Kansas to William C. and Ella E. Haynes. She attended San Bernardino High School and Orange Coast College. Edna worked as a freight clerk (1941-1944); cafeteria baker at Corona Del Mar High School (1962-1966); Cafeteria Manager at Estancia High School (1967-1969). Edna married Richard A. Marcus April 6, 1946 in Lawton, Oklahoma. Her hobbies include: Eastern Star, cake decorating, oil painting and initiator of Mead Ranch Fire Department in Payson, Arizona. Edna is survived by her three sons, Robert W. Marcus of Houston, Texas, Richard M. Marcus of Huntington Beach, California, David A. Marcus of Olympia, Washington; 7 grandchildren, 14 great grandchildren and 2 great great grandchildren. Viewing will be Friday, March 14, 2014 at 12:00pm at Montecito Mortuary and Graveside Service will follow at 1:00pm at Montecito Memorial Park.
