Edward Barrios

July 16, 1943 - February 28, 2024

Edward Barrios of Colton, California, passed away on February 28, 2024, surrounded by his family. He is survived by his wife Lydia Barrios; his children Roland, Jeannette, Eddie and Troy; his grandchildren Rory, Danielle, Taylor, Connor and Meghan; and his sister Millie Arizaga. Edward was predeceased by his parents Andres and Maria Barrios, his brothers Efrain, Americo and Arthur; and his sisters Emma Medrano and Corrine Lee.

Edward was born in Needles, California. He graduated from Needles High School in 1961. He played High school football, baseball and track. After graduating, Edward moved to Colton where he and Lydia met, married, purchased their home and raised their children. He retired from GTE/Verizon after 42 years of service.

Edward was a loving husband, father and grandfather that took care of each of his loved ones and made each one feel uniquely special. He enjoyed family gatherings, traveling, grandchildren’s sports events and their musical recitals. He was also a loyal Los Angeles Rams and Dodgers fan. Most of all, he enjoyed making Lydia feel loved and happy.

Funeral services for Edward will be held on Friday, March 22, 2024, from 1:00 pm - 2:00 pm at Montecito Valley View Chapel, 3520 E. Washington St., Colton, Ca, 92324.

Committal services will take place privately with his family.
