On the day that Grandma left our world and started her life in heaven. She had all 11 of her children, half of her 22 grandchildren, some of her 16 great grandchildren and her great great grandson with her. They say that when we die there is something that we wait for before we are able to go to the light. After being a part of the last moments my grandmother was with us, I believe it's true. On her last day with us she waited until all 11 of her children were at her side. Then my grandpa gave her his last kiss on the hand as to say good bye and that was the moment that she closed her eyes and took her last breath. When she passed she had a smile on her face, she was finally at peace. Although this was one of the hardest moments in our lives I know that in our hearts we feel this was the way she wanted it to be. She is a mother, grandmother, great grandmother, and great great grandmother (we can add lots more greats to her title)., but she is an angel from heaven that was given to us to show us how to live life the way God intended. She taught us how to be strong, hard working, caring, to love unconditionally, to have no color lines, to always see the good in everyone, she taught us to always put ourselves in God's hands and everything would be ok. She always prayed for everyone, we knew we were in her prayers every night. Her faith is so strong that she knew it would all work out no matter what. I know that her relationship with God is strong because of how much she dedicated her life to pass the word of God to each and everyone of us, any chance she had. This is why I feel that she has paved a path just for her that leads straight to heaven, and God is there thanking her for all she did for him while she was here with us. And right behind him are all her loved ones that passed before her waiting with their arms wide open to welcome her home.
There is one last thing I would like to say to all my younger cousins, my nieces, nephews, and my own children. We may not have been as lucky as some to have her in our lives for as many years as they did, but remember as long as we all have her in our hearts like she had us in hers, she will live with us forever.
