Ellen Lorena "Rena" Johnson

Ellen Lorena "Rena" Johnson (Poe) passed peacefully at home at the age of 87. Ellen was born in San Pedro, California the third of four children to Charles and Pauline Poe. Ellen was raised in San Bernardino where she graduated from San Bernardino High School in 1945. She married Clyde C. Johnson together they settled in Colton where they raised their children Marc, Douglas, and Kathryn in the same home for 67 years. Ellen retired after 25 years of service as a San Bernardino County Court Clerk. She had an adventurous spirit which led to numerous travels around the world and becoming a licensed private pilot. She loved to roller-skate, hike, cross country ski, swim play tennis and golf, practice yoga and garden at home. Ellen was an avid supporter of the Colton Public Library and Colton Museum association. She was preceded in death by Clyde (husband), Kathryn (daughter), Douglas (son) Andrew (brother), Mary Jean (sister). She is survived by Marc Johnson (son) Fred Poe (brother). Grandchildren - Derek Johnson, Corey Johnson, Katie (Johnson) Phillipi, Jessica Garcia, Philip Garcia, Great0Grandchildre Jeremiah, Matthew and Kaylee Phillipi.
