Ernest Ronald Martinez was born on September 5th, 1947 in San Diego,California to The late Raul P.Martinez and The Late Priscilla H.Martinez They also had his siblings Priscilla Rodriguez,Linda Olivares,The late Armand "Chinnie"Martinez,The late Claude R.Martinez, Diane Martinez, and Joanne M.Lopez.He loved his siblings very much. He attended San Jacinto High School. After High school He enlisted into the United States Navy. He served during the Vietnam era. He was very proud to be a veteran. After a few years he worked at the Banning Road Camp as a plumber for 30 years until he retired in March of 2009. After 3 previous marriages,he met his 4th and final wife, Noeme Carcueva Sorizo, through a pen pal service in November 1986, seven months after meeting her he flew to the Philippines and asked for blessing to marry from her parents and on November 17,1987 he married his Best Friend, the love of his life. Ernie had 4 Children Helen Joanne Martinez,"Tigger"Winona Elisa Martinez from previous partners. On January 20th 1990 he and Noeme had Ernest Ronald Martinez Jr, and on September 28th 1994 "M.M."Melanie Marie Martinez, whose partner is Alejandro Perez. He loved his children very much.On September 9th 2017 Ernie Jr married Remelyn Martinez and together on May 15 2018 they gave him the absolute love of his life, his granddaughter, Erynn Noelani Martinez "Baby Love". Ernie has been blessed with a big family, more than we can mention. He was blessed and able to travel with his family, have many family gatherings, birthdays and holidays. His favorites were Thanksgiving and Christmas. He was diagnosed with Type 2 diabetes in 1989 and in 2015 he started dialysis treatments. On June 6th 2019 he had open heart surgery and recovered successfully. In December 2021 He tested positive for COVID-19 and was hospitalized during his quarantine.
He was hospitalized 3 times after contracting COVID due to long term effects of the virus that impacted his lungs. The third and final time he was admitted to Redlands Community Hospital where he was intubated for almost a month. He was able to be released on hospice care and was able to be home with his family as he wished. March 31st 2022 at 3:31pm at 74 years old God called him to rest. He was surrounded by his family and friends. Rest in peace, Ernest we claim God’s promises that we will see you in the resurrection morning.
