Esis M. Joseph, 90, born on April 2, 1934, in Cairo, Egypt, passed away July 7, 2024 at her home in Loma Linda, California. She was married to the late Sobhy Y. Joseph for 59 years. She is survived by her three daughters, Randa Guindi-Joseph, Enas Joseph and Nivin Ghattas as well as her two grandsons Daniel Guindi and Joseph Ghattas. In addition to being a wonderful wife, mother and grandmother, she taught French at a private junior high school in Egypt. She had a love for St. Mary and was blessed to have her birthday coincide with her apparition in El Zeitoun, which she also was fortunate to witness. After immigrating to the United States in 1978 she worked as a tailor and seamstress at May Co. and later Macys for many years. Esis was exceptionally smart, well rounded and talented in many ways including playing the piano, painting, sewing, crochet, needlepoint, cooking and baking. Everything she did was done with perfection, precision and love. She excelled in everything she did and had a charismatic personality and a radiant smile. She was a natural people person, quick witted and had a great sense of humor. Esis brought joy and laughter to all those around her. She loved and was blessed to serve at St. Mina’s Church and kitchen for many years. Esis touched the lives of many and she will be dearly missed by her family, friends, and all who knew her. She leaves behind a legacy of love, compassion and unforgettable memories.
