Eugene (Gene) Thielen was born in Pittsville, Wisconsin on January 12, 1927. He worked in the Port Edwards Paper Mill for seven years, then served in the United States Navy for four years. In 1949, he married Geraldine and lived in Nekoosa, Wisconsin for five years. They moved to California in 1955. Gene was employed by the City of San Bernardino Water Department for over 30 years, until retiring to spend time with his family. He is survived by his sons, Charles of San Bernardino and David of Colton, and his daughter Doris of Lake Havasu, Arizona. He also leaves his eight grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren. Gene is also survived by his sisters Mariezita Boyles, Olga Krubsack and Odelia Back, all of Wisconsin and his brother William, of Montana.
