Dear Ka Ely, Vangie, Sonny, grandchildren and other family members,

I am truly sorry for your loss. May you find strength in the peace that comes from our Almighty God.

Ka Exie will always be etched in the heart of the Milwaukee Congregation. As the primary pioneer, his sacrifices and services during its beginning years created a locale, through our Lord Jesus Christ and God's mercy and blessings, that proved fruitful through this day - many souls on the way to salvation.

Thank you very much for your legacy. Your name and everything that you did on behalf of the church in 1975 -1977 and beyond are all chronicled and will never fade away.

I became a member through your persistence- am so grateful for your vision as well as Ka Ely! You will be missed. I hope to see you in the Holy City.

My name is Emily Ty, the eldest niece of my beloved Tito Exie from the Cruz clan. I have a lot of good memories of my uncle that I cherish.

I loved being around my uncle. When I was young, I was basically Tito Exie's "shadow". Wherever he went, I was there also. I will always remember going with him to the market and eating halo-halo and siopao after he was done shopping. We spent a lot of time together. Whether it was at his college class or at an event, I was there - and I loved being there with him. 

I also loved Tito Exie's humor. We always joked around with each other. He always gave me weird and funny nicknames that made me laugh. We were always laughing - I will miss that. 

I will truly miss these things and more - I will truly miss my uncle. I love you, Tito Exie. 

   Tito Exie was a big part of my life. He was the man who taught me how to be respectful. Like when I was a toddler, Tito gave me a gentle spanking because I refused to address my older sister “Ate”. It was a lesson that I will never forget.
    Tito loves to give nicknames to family members.  He called my sister Emilotot. He called me “2-1”. My birth date is twenty-one. As a toddler, I cannot say twenty-one but instead “2-1”. 
    Tito stepped up as he always did. He was in his early 20’s when he took care of me and Ate when we were toddlers. Because of him, I know and love the songs of Neil Sedaka, The Cascades, and many more. Our bonding moment was our special trips to a carinderia whose specialty was lugaw tokwa’t baboy (my favorite). And on special occasions, he bought me lugaw with “dila ng baboy”. 
    Tito was a kind and compassionate person. I remember when I was going through my cancer journey, and he visited me in Virginia. He just entered the house with his luggage in tow and cried when he saw me bald due to my chemo. I know those tears were to express his love and concern for me.
    He never failed to call and greet me on my birthdays. He will leave me messages with “tampo” if I don’t get to answer or return his calls. Recently, Orlando was hit by hurricane Ian. Tito called to check up on me and made sure I was not affected by the devastation and that I am doing well. 
    I always tell him that I love him before we end our calls.  I am so glad I did because I really do love my Tito Exie.  It gives me comfort to know that he loves God and served Him well. I also know that Tito is happily reunited with Lolo, Nanay (Lola), Tito Father Cruz, Tito Tote, Tito Odon and my mother, Mama Connie. 
    Tito Exie, though I cannot see or talk to you anymore, you will always stay alive, smiling and making silly jokes in my memory and heart. You have served your purpose and achieved what you came to do. Rest in the arms of our Savior, Jesus Christ. ❤❤❤
    
 
   

This was the at the Choral Competition 2019 where Ka Exie participated in the local congregation of Fontana. 

Ka Exie will be dearly missed. While our brothers were tearing down the walls during our chapel renovation, Ka Exie maintained the cleanliness of our chapel grounds.

Whatever the day and time, Ka Ezekiel will be there.. always supporting,  caring  and  he will never run out of jokes. 

He will always be the Bishop of Fontana Local 

We will be missed.. but we'll See you soon.
