Flavio S. Aguilar, 78, passed away surrounded by the love of his family in Colton, CA. Born in Jalisco, Mexico, in 1947, Flavio came to the United States in 1966 and built a life defined by hard work, generosity, and joy. A simple man who never wanted much, he somehow managed to give everyone around him so much in return.
Flavio spent more than 26 years crafting manufactured homes, a testament to both his strong work ethic and the pride he took in providing for his family. He was a selfless man, always ready to lend a hand, and always the life of any party he walked into.
A devoted Dodgers fan from the moment he arrived in the U.S., Flavio also loved reading old western stories, enjoyed a good soccer game, and, in his later years, settling in with a Disney movie. He loved his lottery scratchers and the simple pleasures that brought him comfort like his hot cup of coffee multiple times a day.
For over 13 years, his loyal dog Charlie was his constant companion, bringing him happiness and unconditional love.
Above all, family was at the center of his world. He is survived by Rufina Aguilar the mother of his five children; Flavio Jr., Mayra, Alejandra, Marisela, Ana Patricia, along with 15 grandchildren, and 6 great-grandchildren. He also leaves behind his mother, three sisters, and two brothers.
Flavio’s presence, humor, and generosity will be deeply missed and forever cherished by all who knew and loved him.
