

In 1948, she moved to Seoul and settled in Imun-dong. On October 22, 1949, she was baptized at Imun-dong Church by Pastor Kim Myeong-Gil. In the spring of 1950, she began working at Seoul Sahmyook Sanitarium and Hospital.
On April 5, 1961, she married Elder Lee Chy-Ik and between 1962 and 1965 welcomed three children: Jonathan, Katherine, and Sharon. In 1974, at the invitation of her niece Ahn Sung-Ja, she immigrated to Toronto, Canada and attended Toronto SDA Church. In 1994, she moved to the United States at her children’s invitation and attended Riverside Church. She joined Loma Linda Korean Church in 2020.
Throughout her long life, Chang In-Sook exemplified humility, service, resilience, and hope. From her early commitment to Christ in Korea, through decades of faithful church involvement across continents, she lived with the quiet strength of one who trusted in God’s guidance.
At 1:30am on June 10, 2026, surrounded by her loving family, she peacefully entered the arms of the Lord with the blessed hope of resurrection. She leaves behind a legacy of faith that continues to inspire her family, church community, and all who knew her.

A Memorial Service will be held at Loma Linda Korean SDA Church, 11487 New Jersey Street, Redlands, CA 92373, on June 21, 2026 at 4:30 pm.
Visitation will take place at Montecito Memorial Park and Mortuary, Valley View Chapel, 3520 E Washington St, Colton, CA 92324, US, on June 22, 2026 from 8:00 am to 10:00 am.
A Committal Service will follow at Montecito Memorial Park, 3520 E Washington St, Colton, CA 92324, US, on June 22, 2026 from 10:30 am to 11:30 am.
