To the Alvarez family, 
Our prayers and hearts go out to you for the loss of such a kind, caring, loving, person, Poppa Frank, he will be greatly missed, he was such a giving person and never expected anything in return, that is what made him so special, we will be forever grateful for the times he opened his home for us to celebrate special events in our lifes and kept the door open for us anytime he has left a wonderful legacy here, his beautiful family, and lots of love. I say to you Mr Alvarez, it truly was a honor to have known you and look forward to seeing you again in the best place in the world, HEAVEN.

Grandpa Frank, You and grandma Loni never made us feel like anything less than your grandchildren, even though we were not born into your family, we were the lucky ones. My dearest Pancholeen:

When you were born, you were the fifth born in the family.  I was then eight years old.  As the first boy in our family, the four girls loved you dearly.  Mom made it our responsibility to watch very carefully over you, and we all spoiled you rotten.  As you grew into adulthood, you became our hero.
God destined you to be my brother, and I will be forever grateful that He chose someone extraordinarily special to come into my life.  I recall so many funny incidents that we did together during our growing-up years, and into our old age, which made our sibling relationship so very special.  We were always so very, very close.  We didn't always agree on everything, but those moments were very fleeting, and we never held any grudges against one another, because you always won anyway.
When you were in the military service, I still recall having to go pick you up at whatever airport you landed at in Southern California, no matter what time or day, although, many times it was in the wee hours of the morning.  When I grumbled about it, you would burst out laughing and the incident was forgotten.
I still have the beautiful watch you gave me fifty-nine years ago.  You bought it for me while you were on leave in Japan.  I also have all the other countless, beautiful and thoughtful gifts that you so generously gave me over the years.  You always knew what I liked.
After my husband's death, you became my right hand.  You made time to come to see me, mow my lawn, and fix anything that needed repairing, even if it meant putting your own priorities on hold.  If I tried to pay you, or recompense you, you always refused, and we ended up going out somewhere special to eat.  Which is why both of us finally became so "fluffy" over the years.
Our relationship as brother and sister was always so special.  The unique qualities that other people saw in you as an individual, created a deep and very special attachment between both of us that were always distinctive and individual to the both of us.
Your sudden unexpected death has devastated me, but I know that God in his infinite wisdom knows what He does, and that you are now in His presence, rejoicing with our beloved parents and all the other members of our family who have gone before us, including your baby son, Jonathan, who passed on too soon also.  May you rest in peace, until we meet again in God's kingdom and may perpetual light shine upon you.  I love you!

kaleena and i are going to miss you old man! there are no words to express how i feel but just know you were my dad and bestfriend! im going to miss all the times you yelled at me for cutting the grass wrong lol but dont worry i know how to do it the right way now:) im forsure going to miss all the pranks and stuff you pull like walking outside in your underwear to get the mail lol:) those memories i will keep in my heart forever! so this isnt good bye poppa its see u later<3 kaleena and i love u so much!

Grandpa its hard to really write anything down, because your time seem so short. I'm going to miss you so much but i want you to know that i will never forget the things you taught me. I will also miss going places with you, especially when we went some where new to get books. I know you tired your best fighting for your life but i do want you to know, we are not mad at you for leaving. The only thing we will miss out on is you being the first one up and reading your book at the table or outside watering your yard. Then you were the last one to go to bed, you pretty much read everyday and every night. Well papa I love you very much and i will never ever forget you. When i graduate may 30 i know you will have the best seat ever!!!!! Your Grand son Joseph.
