Restless nights, I toss and turn,
as the night oil burns. I think 
about days long gone, of lives lived
and lives lost.
My heart aches, and tears form as
I think of all I've scorned.  This 
precious time we have on Earth, yet
we feel the need to worry about material

When you ask a person on their death
bed; what are you most sorry for? They 
say " I wish I spent more time with my 
family".

Good day to all... today is another day filled with the agony of missing someone so very very much.  Although these daily thoughts are filled with much joy and sometimes even silent laughter.. I miss him dearly.  I miss the chasing and catching up with him on our outings.  He would put his scooter "his red cadilac" into Turbo and I would have to run to keep up, if I didn't keep up he would ditch me and end up in the nearest mens room.  It didn't take him long to figure out a closed door labeled "Men" wouldn't keep me out. LOL. This is just one of my memories that makes me laugh, I have so many more.... Mr. Smith, I thank you for all the time I had with you.  It was my Pleasure for sure!
   Mrs. Smith, I know it is these wonderful memories that sustane me during times of sadness, when I am really missing your husband. Knowing this assures me that you will be okay. Your memories that are embedded in your heart most likely make you laugh, cry and finally just smile. I hope you feel some peace in your memories....

To all who read this, I spent the last two weeks with my father and cared for him as I did for many patients in New Zealand in hospitals. I was so glad I was there for him and had the time with him in his last days. He was laughting and jokeing around with the nurses as usual.....trying to marry off our younger brother Henery....I asked him to find me a doctor!!!!!  Remember he grew up during the depression with his mom who was a single mother at the time and became the man of the home at a young age. He did well for himself concerding the social age etc. he did well in striving to become someone, finished high school became a poliet in the Navy and at the time became a single dad himself at a young age 26yrs....how many of us can say we did this at 26yrs. ????? He made mistakes but who doesn't, he loved us all and that is what counts in this life. He gave to so many and must be remembered for the good he did. Unfortanally we all get caught up in "time" and forget its what counts with what you do with that "time" Love is the greatest gift you can be remembered for and he did love us all. Thanks for the Memories~ Freddie Smith was a fond friend to my mother and father, Margaret and Lee Von Visger. I hope the kowing that Fred, Margaret & Lee are most likely having a wonderful reunion in heaven watching over all of us is as comforting to you as it feels to us. Fred was part of the family and time and distance were not an issue. May the comfort of the Lord bless all you days till we are all there, together again.

You have been an amazing wife and devoted mother to your boys..your faith and beliefs in difficult challenges are an example to us all.Time and distance and lifes struggles has made our meetings few but you are always in our hearts and prayers..just wish our children had got to know each other better too ..as time sped on..Life is such a precious gift and we know Fred lived it with passion ,, Love ;your sister  Helen

I will miss you Dad.  I am glad you got to spend time with your Grandson Noah.  I regret that you were not able to see your Granddaughter Alondra born, but I know you are watching down on us from heaven.  Say hello to Grandma Bessie, Great Aunt Edna, Great Aunt Juanita, and all the family from from me.  We will all be together again someday.  I love you Dad may you be at peace.

Dear Aunt Margaret. I am so sorry for your loss and hope that as time passes that you find peace with your grief. Although its been so long since we have all been together, you and Fred have always featured largely in my childhood memories. I know Uncle Fred made your life together a wild, ambitious and exciting one and that his passing will leave a massive void for you and your family, but with you, his children and all those grandchildren and great grandchildren, not to mention us, his nephews and nieces, his memory will live on. In honor of a dear and special friend "Mr. Smith". On 2/09/09 I was offered the position of caregiver, ever since that day it has been my pleasure.  Mr. Smith has given me the most wonderful memories to cherish. He made me laugh and he kept me smiling. I am sorry for the hurting hearts of his family; his wife who shared with him daily such a mutual expression of love for each other that I can only imagine the many memories she holds close. And his Children and their children; who he spoke of more than often.  Some I know personally and others I know by the stories he shared with me. His bright blue eyes sparkled when he spoke of his children and their children. It didn't matter which one he was talking about,when he spoke of his family he lit up, he sparkled, his heart sang and his beautiful bright blue eyes danced.   I can only hope that you find comfort in your own memories during this time of such great loss. Forever & Always a friend. aka; Bunny (like energizer bunny)& Bumble Bee (like I buzz around all the time). That's what Mr. Smith would call me. I will miss him and I will love and remember him always...
