On August 22, our beloved Gary Grant Bessey, 75 lost his battle with pancreatic cancer after two long years. Despite spending much of that time in and out of the hospital, rehab or treatments, he never stopped fighting to be with those he loved. He will be remembered by all who loved him as a warrior, partner, father, Papa, brother and uncle. He is survived by his partner of 47 years Dan, his daughter, son-in-law, two grandchildren, sister and his nieces and nephews.

Gary was an extremely driven man. As a young man he worked hard to earn his own money. As he became an adult he went into banking. He worked his way up in banking from a teller to Vice President of Operations. He loved gardening and traveling with Dan. He raised his daughter by himself from 6 months old until he found his soulmate Dan when she was two. His daughter was his pride and joy. His most cherished job was that of being a grandfather to the most amazing granddaughter and grandson.
