Mickey was an awesome and humble guy.  I met him and his son Mike when Mick went to work at Pacific Soils in 1976.  Both guys have been excellent friends from that time on.  Matthew 5:5 best describes, to me anyway, Mickey's demeanor and attitude. Blessed are the meek, for they will inherit the earth.  Mickey had a huge heart and would give any of his friends the shirt off his back.  This is the best example for us to follow.  God bless you Mick, thank you for all that you did to help me, you are greatly missed.

Gene and I met the first time Aug 8 2007.  Our relationship started out as strictly business.  It grew into a friendship.  Gene and I shared a strong bond.  I will miss him.

We've known Mickey since 1976.  A delightful man, wonderful neighbor, always with a smile and a helping hand..... and a good story to tell.  He will be dearly missed by everyone here on Jessica Drive.

Mickey was the best neighbor any person would ever want. He was always there with big smile to greet you, and always there if you needed help. In 1996 my father had a heart transplant - Mickey was there to cheer him on. Always helpful, and encouraging. In 2005 he passed away, and once again he was there for our family. Mickey will be missed by our family. He was a bright spot in the neighborhood. With great sympathy from our family.

Mickey, I do not know you personally but do have the privilege of working with your son, Mike, at the County of San Bernardino. You must have been a wonderful mentor with the wisdom of lifelong learning for your children that you raised. Mickey was the first neighbor we met when we moved to our new house one year ago and just from our brief friendship I know he will be greatly missed. He loved to chat on the street, never hesitated to offer the use of his tools and kept a vigilant eye out for his neighbors' welfare. His kind phone call a few months ago saved us from leaving our garage door open all night. I'm sorry we will not be able to attend the visitation and services but hope to see Mike again soon. We lift up Mickey and his family in prayer.

Mickey, full of laughter and heart, welcomed us to Jessica Dr. in the 80's. He cared about our children and whenever Ranger (our GSD) meandered off the porch and down the street, Mickey and/or Mike would send him home. A dear friend with whom I had many fun talks about military matters and such. He will be greatly missed, but is in our hearts always.  Mike and Patrick, we are thinking of you.  CYA, big fella! I had the opportunity to work with Mickey at Pacific Soils Engineering, Inc. when I first entered the "soils" business back in the mid 80's.  Mickey was very patient and an excellent tutor which helped me understand the basis of applied soils engineering mechanics that I still use today.  He was enjoyable to work with and taught me the value of doing things right from start to finish.  He was very personable and was always concerned for my family's well being.  I feel blessed to be associated with a person of his caliber as he is someone who did the right things in life, especially when no one is looking.

Uncle Mickey had a soft heart. Our relationship was mostly over the phone due to living across the country from each other but he would often call to check on his sister,my mom, Gloria, who was living with us her last few years. Always a pleasure to talk with, full of good stories, and showing more concern for others than himself.  Our thoughts and prayers are with you, Mike and Patrick, especially tomorrow.  Know your dad will always be in our hearts.  Much love, your cousin-

I worked with Mickey at Pacific Soils. Every time I saw Mickey working in his lab, he always had a smile on his face. I will not forget that he always went out of his way to say hello and ask about about my family. I always felt that Mickey would do what ever he could to help somebody in need. He was a great guy and He will be missed.

"Micky" moved in and became our next door in the late sixties.  He was a terrific neighbor and man to have near.  We enjoyed many hours of sharing stories, thoughts, tools, love of our Nation and ways to get things done mechanically and various property projects.  When the Mike and Patrick joined him on weekends and vacations it was fun to watch them grow before our eyes and was such a pride to Dad - Mickey.  He was a wonderful friend and hard to give up as a neighbor when we moved to Arizona in 1999.  He was proud of his sons and anxious to spend whatever time with them God gave them.  Michael and Patrick - our hearts and thoughts are with you and know you have wonderful memories of camping, fishing, learning mechanical abilities, serious discussions and above all his infectious laugh. Mickey and I have been friends since 1974, when I moved into his neighborhood. He was a good friend and man. He was a true believer in God, loved and was extremely proud of his two sons. He was a proud American, and had served his Country in both the Merchant Marines, and the US Air Force (after it became a seprate service from the Army Air Corps after WW2). He was a near expert in Judo, and a very gifted in his mechanical skills, he could repair, or make almost anything. Above all he was a animal lover in his later years, and pampered his dogs. After I moved to Texas in 1997 we visited often by phone, but looking back, not often enough. He was a extremely kind, and helpful neighbor and friend, and will be missed...God Bless you Mickey, and your loved ones left behind..
