Can’t believe it’s been a year already that you left this world! Gone but never forgotten. I brought your family some flowers to cheer them up yesterday and also a hummingbird yard stake. The day of your service, there was a hummingbird hanging out almost like he was looking at all the people who came to your mass. He hung around the huge glass window for a few minutes. Long enough that many people commented “on the hummingbird”….in my heart I felt like it was you, Ivan. I told your dad that yesterday now they have one for the backyard. 

I can’t thank you enough for the kindness and respect you showed my parents every time you would come over to visit us and Randy.  I know they really appreciate it as I really did. Not too many young people give the elders any attention yet alone their time. So again…MIL GRACIAS!!! 💙❤️😘

Well Ivan, I have to say that this year of your absence has been painful for many of us that knew you,  Most painful for your family. I can't imagine the pain.  I will always remember your smile, your optimism, your manners, your kindness, compassion and love for those you've helped. You were a one of kind gentleman that this world lacks. Primo te extraño mucho  cada día q pasa se me hace más difícil, extraño tus platicas, tus bromas, tus consejos y hasta el hecho de queme hacías repelar, ahora ya no se van a cumplir nuestros planes q teníamos, sin ti ya nada va a ser  igual, quiero que sepas q la pasé muy bien el tiempo que duro, eres una gran persona con un gran corazón, gracias por cuidarme y siempre preocuparte por mi, gracias por darme ánimos cuando los necesite, lo único q te faltó fue enseñarme a aprender a vivir sin ti

Ivan will definitely be missed. He was one of the kindest and most polite person I have ever had the pleasure to know. I was fortunate enough to spend time with him since my daughter, Julia , has  dated Isaac for 5 1/2 years. Isaac and Ivan were a package deal especially when they first dated. He was often over our home with Isaac. He would always offer help and called me Mrs. Godbey. I told him I know it’s a sign of respect but call me , Sonja! We are family!  I loved the fact that he was himself and had such character. I personally will miss him and his funny comments, warm heart and uniqueness. Ivan you are so loved by many and today was such a beautiful tribute to what a blessing you were to many. Love you always Ivan. Gone but never forgotten.

Ivan will never be forgotten in the country line dancing community. He had his own country swag that no one else could pull off.  His unique style of dancing and dressing caught my eye as it caught many others in the community. He was a great dancing partner who always made sure to be a great teacher to myself and others who couldn’t dance as well as him. As I got to know him, I learned he had a big heart. He always shared stories about taking care of his loving mother and his baby girl dog. He also shared many fun stories of him and his brothers. He was so thoughtful when it came to me sharing stories with him. He brought me in n out, a beer, and a multicolored rock bracelet knowing those were things I loved. I miss him. I know he is in Cowboy heaven watching all of us and two stepping. 

Prima...t abrazo a la distancia y pido a Dios para q les d  la resignación y fortaleza q necesitan para poder sobrellevar tan gran perdida ...Iván ya goza d la presencia de Dios...y siempre estará contigo en tu mente y tú 

Prima ..no tuve el gusto d conocer a tu hijo ..el cual m hubiera encantado ..pero  el ya goza d la presencia d Dios ...al igual pido a Dios les d la fortaleza y resignación para sobrellevar tan gran perdida ...un abrazo a la distancia ..estamos con uds!!!

To the Salcedo family , Isaac and fam.. you guys have been in my prayers. I am going to miss Ivan’s viewing and final goodbyes tonight and tomorrow but I am with you in spirit ! Apesar de q fue muy poco el tiempo q Dios me permitió verte, no tengo más q agradecerte todos los bellos momentos q nos diste ya q tenías un sentido del humor q te hacía único, tus ocurrencias, tus bailes y tú cantar ahora estarán en el cielo xq ese es el lugar q te ganaste x eso Dios te eligió a ti xq eres único y especial, espero algún día volvernos a encontrar, te voy a extrañar, te quiero mucho y nunca dejes de sonreír

Primo no tuvimos tiempo suficiente pero no fue obstáculo para darme cuenta que eres un hombre increíble , caballeroso , con un gran corazón , amabas tanto la música ranchera y el jaripeo y eso te hacía ser tan tu , te extraño demasiado , gracias por tantos buenos momentos me quedo con todo lo bueno de ti ,gracias por darme una una gran lección , ahora te toca a ti gozar y disfrutar de la presencia de Dios , por siempre Iván Salcedo mi primo hermoso el amante del folclor

Gracias por compartir esos momentos cuando venias a la ciudad de León, recordamos las anécdotas desde que eras niño, sin duda muchos recuerdos que quedaran en nuestra memoria y con agradecimiento por convivir conmigo, con mis padres, con mi familia, siempre te recordaremos con mucho cariño.

Ivan was one of the most purest souls I’ve ever met. He always looked out for one another and always wanted the best for each and one of us. I grew up with him and his family and shared many great memories that I will forever cherish. Not only was he my bestest friend, but he was an older brother to me that I considered family. We would hangout all the time, text each other, phone calls, share a beer, or just talk about life. A couple of my favorite memories with him are exploring Mexico or going to Big Bear in the cabin with all our friends. We had so many plans for the summer and the rest of our lives ahead to do together. I am truly blessed to have gotten to known him and the memories we created. I will always miss him but I will always have a place in my heart for him and his family.

Ivan, mi hermanito del alma, eternamente agradecida con Dios por haberme dado la oportunidad de tenerte en mi vida. Pasan los días y siempre estás presente. Tu voz diciéndome: hayyyy amiga no manches ponte las pilas…. Tantos recuerdos, escuchar música y recordarte cantando y bailando, todas esas platicas, siempre había algo nuevo que aprender de ti. Tocaste mi vida de una manera muy especial, mi hermano, mi mejor amigo, mi confidente el que siempre estuvo ahí en todo momento. Iván, un gran ser humano, amable, cariñoso, bondadoso, caballeroso, una inspiración, siempre alegre, sonriendo y positivo pero lo más importante su Fe en Dios y el amor a su familia y sus seres queridos. Son solo unas de las cuantas cualidades que te describen, sin duda alguna uno de los seres más maravillosos que e tenido en mi vida. Se que desde el cielo nos cuidas y estás con nosotros. Por siempre vivirás en mi corazón y siempre me harás mucha falta chikillo.
A toda la familia mi mas sentido pésame, que dios les de la fortaleza en esta pena tan grande, siempre los tengo en mis oraciones y mis pensamientos.
