James Michael Maurer 68, of Bella Vista Arkansas, died Tuesday morning around 10:00 am on April 29, 2025 in the home of his son. He was born May 15, 1956 to Fredrick and Agnes Maurer. James was a legacy software engineer, technician, and warehouse worker. He enjoyed the outdoors, frequently visiting many beautiful natural places. He was especially fond of rivers and lakes. He also enjoyed building models, firing guns, reading fiction novels and learning about history. At the end of his life he would spend his days sitting on a balcony reading his books, watching his favorite shows on his tablet and enjoying the view of the forest that lay before him. He is survived by his two children, his daughter Jeannette K. Maurer and his son John D. Maurer, his grandchildren, Christian M. Maurer, Magnus A. Maurer, Seth N. Maurer and Guinevere A. Maurer, and two siblings, his brother Daniel R. Maurer and his sister Margaret T. (Peggy) Eddy. He was preceded in death by his parents, Fredrick and Agnes Maurer, and his youngest brother Andrew P. Maurer.
