Gerald “Jerry” Mel Hernandez born March 19, 1955 passed from this life on April 16th 2012 due to severe head trauma. As a native to San Bernardino, he graduated from San Gorgonio High School in 1973 and remained in the community for 57 years. He worked as a technician for most of his life specializing in foreign automotives & water craft. He enjoyed the outdoors, and found solace in the beauty of the water. Jerry was a peaceful man who loved animals and God. He was a member of The Way Church and as a disciple, could often be found helping others. Jerry was loved and respected by his neighbors, friends & family. He is survived by his mother Lucy Hernandez, his sister Delia Kleinpass, & her four children. He is predeceased by his father Emmanuel Hernandez who passed in 1978. Jerry will be deeply missed & never forgotten.

Services will be held at Montecito Memorial Park located at 3520 E. Washington Street, in Colton.
Visitation will be Thursday April 26th from 4-8pm. The funeral will be held on Friday April 27th at 10 am.
