

Jimmie Nell was born on October 3, 1933 in Quitaque, Texas to the late James Cleo Couch and his wife Ethel Morine Tribble-Couch. Jimmie was a child of the Great Depression growing up in the rural West Texas towns of Quitaque, Turkey and Plainview.
Jimmie Nell lost her Mother and Sister (Bobbie Ruth Couch) at an early age and lived with her paternal Grandparents for a couple of years before her father James was remarried to Drusilla Katherine England.
Jimmie Nell would attend school through the 8th grade in Plainview. Like a lot of children of that era, she helped her family survive by picking cotton or whatever was in season. At the age of 14 she was able to get a job as a waitress at Camps cafe in downtown Plainview and dropped out of school.
She would fall in love with Donald Eugene Brown and eventually they would marry. Jimmie Nell and Donald would have 5 children together and eventually settled in San Bernardino, California.
Jimmie Nell worked as a waitress at several restaurants in the area, such as Demos, Arrowhead Lanes and The Moose Lodge in Mentone before retiring to care for Donald.
Jimmie Nell was proceeded in death by her mother Ethel Morine, sister Bobbie Ruth, father James, stepmother Drusilla, brother Truman, husband Donald, Grand Daughter Sharon Braden-Posjena, Great Granddaughter June Brown and Adopted sister Hazel Everett Couch.
She is survived by her five children: Larry (Debra) Brown, Sherry (David) Braden, Carol (Glenn) Wright, Charles (Cecilia) Brown and Laura (Jeff) Rhoads.
15 Grandchildren, 18 Great Grandchildren, 1 Great,Great,Grandson and numerous family members and friends.
