John was born in Riverside, CA on January 24, 1952 to James K and Viola M. Smith. He married Jan Zigler in 1973, He worked as a machinist, later starting his own business, John's Concrete Pumping, and went on to work for Robertson's Ready Mix when he retired December 2012. He was proceeded in death by his parents and brother Jim Smith, he is survived by his wife Jan, step son Keith, grandson Paul and many friends and relatives who will miss his great sense of humor.
