Jose Ochoa Alvarez, longtime resident of Fontana, passed away June 5, 2014 at the age of 78. Jose was born in Jalisco, Mexico to Jesus and Concepcion Alvarez. He was an agricultural field worker for over 15 years. Jose is survived by his loving wife, Maria; 9 children, Jose Alvarez, Teresa Contreras, Jesse Alvarez, Felipe Alvarez, Aurelio Alvarez, Leticia Alvarez, Mario Alvarez, Lorena Geering and Alex Alvarez. Viewing will be Thursday, June 12, 2014 4-8pm at Montecito Mortuary Valley View Chapel in Colton, CA. Mass will be celebrated, Friday, June 13, 2014 at 10:00am at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Fontana. Interment will follow at Our Lady Queen of Peace Catholic Cemetery in Colton, CA.
