

He was born in Nanjing, China on March 16, 1935 to his parents the late Chang Tseo and Catherine Kan. Afterward in December of 1949 his entire family moved to Taiwan, Republic of China in order to escape Chinese Communist rule. He attended Tunghai University where he majored in Chemical Engineering. Joseph immigrated to America in 1964. He met his wife Ingrid at Ginza in NYC where they worked together. They were married 44 years until she passed away on April 13, 2011. He was a successful businessman and restauranteur and was the former owner of Mao Tai restaurant located at the World Trade Center Manhattan, NY. A lover of cats and dogs, he also enjoyed spending time with his family. Joe will always be remembered for being an avid fan of the New York Mets, Jets and Knicks which he passed on to his son Erik.
He is survived by his son Erik, daugher-in-law Traci, and grandson Jacob who brought great joy into his life, of Riverside, CA; sister Martha Leung and Kenneth of Flushing, NY; sister Lourdes Cheo and Bing of Middletown, NJ; sister-in-law Belinda Tseo of Berkeley Heights, NJ along with many nieces and nephews. He is predeceased by his wife Ingrid Larsen Tsou, brothers Tsu-Zu Tseo, Tyrone Tseo, and Peter Tsu-Ding Tseo. He will be sorely missed by those who knew and loved him.
Visitation will be on Saturday, Jan 11 from 8-11a at John P. Pfleger Funeral Home 115 Tindall Rd, Middletown, NJ. Committal is private.
