Juana Baltero Pascua, 101 of Colton, California, died on June 21, 2018 at home. She was born on July 7, 1916 in Santa, Ilocos Sur, Philippines of Mariano Baltero and Martina Bajet. Juana grew up with seven siblings. Juana married Pio Pascua on July 10, 1938 at St. Catherine of Alexandria in Santa, Ilocos Sur. They have six children, Antonio, Estelita, Anatalia, Lucita, Mamerto and Roy. Juana was a loving wife and nurturing mother, who enjoyed spending time with her family. In June 1970, she moved to Kekaha, Kauai where she was an active member of St. Theresa Catholic Church. Juana always looked forward to her children and grandchildren visiting her in Kauai so that she could cook their favorite dishes. She loved making kangkanen and longinisa. After her husband passed, Juana moved to the mainland to spend more time with her family. She is survived by her children, sister Maring Ballesteros, 16 grandchildren, 29 great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. Juana will be missed by many but will live on through the wonderful memories she shared with everyone.
