June Eileen Byron

June Eileen (Parks) Byron was born on August 23, 1935, in Woodbury, New Jersey to parents William and Dorothy Parks. June came into this world with her twin Jean and grew up in a happy household full of girls with her older sister Joan and baby sister Janice. In 1955, while training to become a nurse, June met and soon married the love of her life Paul James Byron.Their first child, a son, Michael was born in 1956. He was followed by another son, Christopher in 1960, and finally a daughter, Susan, in 1965. The Byron's lived a nomadic life in the ‘60s and early ‘70s while Paul was stationed throughout the US and the Philippines. June enjoyed a long career as a nurse and eventually settled in the coronary care unit at community hospital. She and Paul retired to Florida in the mid 1990's. June moved back to Riverside several years ago to be closer to her family when she was diagnosed with Alzheimer's. She is survived by her daughter Susan, son Michael, and three granddaughters, Sarah, Kaitlin and Krista. She also had the pleasure of being a great grandmother to two great grandchildren, Aurora and Riley. She lived a very full life and will be missed by many. The funeral service will be held at St. Catherine's of Alexandria Catholic Church, 7050 Brockton Ave., Riverside, CA 92506 at 11 am on Friday January 6th.
