Katherine Marie Hoth

Katherine Marie Hoth - 53 years old - died in a car crash on Dec. 15th,2021 in Jurupa Valley, CA on her way to work. She was born in Riverside CA on June 30th,1968, and is survived by her husband Dean A. Hoth and her daughter Tara A. Hoth. She has 2 sister's - Laura M. Wilson (husband Mike) and Sandra S. Alvarez (husband Brandon), as well as 2 nieces - Kelsey & Audrey Wilson and her nephew Braedyn Alvarez. She was predeceased in death by her father Anthony A. Murphy in March 2020, and is survived by her mother Linda K Murphy. Katherine attended local schools in Riverside - Highgrove Elementary school - University Heights Middle School - and North High School. She then went on to college & graduated from Cal State San Bernardino where she met her husband Dean. They were married in Riverside on July 29th, 1995. After graduating from College she began teaching 2nd grade at Garretson Elementary School for 2 years. In the Corona-Norco School district. She then moved to Susan B. Anthony Elementary School and continued teaching 2nd grade for 25years until her death in December last year. She also continued her education during her teaching years, and went on to earn a Masters degree while working at her school.

Katherine was also actively involved with her daughter Tara's soccer teams as well as her Girl Scout Troop, where she was affectionately known as the "Cookie Mom" for her work helping the girls sell their cookies each year. Katherine volunteered in Tara's school classes when time permitted during her busy work schedule. A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday Jan. 22nd, 2022 at Montecito Memorial Park & Mortuary in Colton CA, with Internment immediately following the service at the same location. She will be deeply missed by her family, friends, neighbors, & co workers.
