Kathryn McIntyre, daughter of Loretta Rose and Danford Callaway, was always the picture of strength in the family. She often took care of others before herself. She radiated love, whether it be in her youth when she was raised alongside her brothers, her adulthood where she loved her children, or later in life when she raised her granddaughter. Kathryn shared her partnership with her boyfriend of 14 years, Ed, who she loved very deeply. Kathryn worked hard to ensure her family had what they needed, and she never gave up.
She was also known for her friendship, which she found easily everywhere she went. Kathryn worked at Walmart for 30 years, and left her impact on the people who worked and shopped there. When she retired, she always returned to say hello to the people she missed.
There was almost nothing she wouldn’t do for those she loved. When she suffered her strokes in 2022, she was taken under the care of her family. This was hard for her, as she was so used to being independent, and still she persisted. Her last year of life she enjoyed time at home with her animals and her family. She shared her humor, her smile, and her love with the world. She will always be deeply missed.
