

Kenneth A Kutch long time Rialto resident passed away May 3rd 2019 at 11:42am in his home of 62 years in Rialto.He received the call for an appointment to enter the kingdom of heaven and reunite with family and friends he has not seen in a long time. Prior to accepting his new mission he was surrounded by his son Daniel Kutch and his wife Erica, his daughter Monica L. Kutch and her husband Nick. His two children that were born and brought home to the same home of 62 years held him as he transitioned to his new home in heaven. His new mission is taking him to a place where there is endless fishing, wood working, lapidary clubs, laughter, love, and all the food you can eat without gaining an ounce. His kids were left with instructions to celebrate his new appointment and the successful completion of his mission on earth.
Our father was born on Jan 31st 1935 in Michigan City Indiana to Frank and Mary Kutch. He was one of 11 children (7 boys and 4 girls). He went to St. Mary’s High School. After high school he enlisted and served in the United States Air Force. During his tour of duty at Norton Air Force Base he was set up on a blind date with Marlene Loomis aka. the future Mrs. Kenneth Kutch. After they were married in May of 1953 they bought a new home in Rialto, California and raised their three kids Vincent Lee Kutch, Monica Lynn Kutch, and Daniel Kenneth Kutch. He and Marlene stayed in their forever home until he took his last breath. He and his wife Marlene were married for sixty-four years and remained together until her passing November 23rd 2017.
On August 1st 1959 he embarked on his long time career with the San Bernardino County Sheriff"s department. He achieved the rank of Detective, then Sergeant receiving numerous citations&commendations while serving with the Sheriff's Office until November 1973 to begin his tenure with the San bernardino County District Attorney's office and served as the very first criminal investigator with that office. He assisted and supervised the Consumer &Criminal Fraud Unit. He served as the leading supervising investigator for the largest fraud case in the state of California. He developed a computer graphics procedure for use in court presentations&and acted as Assistant Chief Investigator in the absence of the Chief Investigator. He was a founder of the Southern California Fraud Investigators Association. He served on the Board of Directors for four years&was Vice President for 2 years. He also served as Treasurer for 3 years and as am member od the Board of Directors of the Sheriff's Employee's Benefit Association (SEBA) for 20 years. He was also a long member of the Board of Directors of the Peace Officers Research Associaton
He taught some of his special investigavtive knowledge at the FBI and on local KCET broadcasting among other places. During his retirement ceremony he received an Assembly Resolution by then Congressman Jerry Eaves citing: Whereas, Kenneth Kutch retiring from the San Bernardino County District Attorney's office in recognition of his exemplary record of personal&professional accomplishments deserving special honors&highest commendation.
During his retirement he started his own Private Investigator service. He also worked at the Southern California Auto Auction until a stroke took his speech and limited his use of his right side. Never letting anything get the best of him he was active with the Riverside Chip Chuckers carvers and wood working club skills. He adapted in somany ways. He built numerous things and received awards. He was also a member of the Orangebelt Minerological Society. He cherished these times with his club mates and the special friendships he made along the way. He always did an exemplary job at everything in his life including taking care of his family. He will be missed terribly and made the world a better place to live in
Anyone who knew Ken will remember his warm smile, love for family and friends, and his love of the occasional practical joke. He worked hard all his life and made a difference in many people’s lives. Our dad would have wanted it known that he is leaving us with a legacy of never giving up, being stubborn, always finding new things to accomplish as he did for more than eight decades.
