Leatha was the daughter of Gibson Valentine Vincent and Vie P. (Hanson) Vincent and raised in Central Point, Oregon. Her grandparents, the Vincent Family, arrived by covered wagon from Virginia in 1864, homesteading in Sams Valley, Oregon. In the early 1900's in Southern Oregon, her parents heard the gospel through Bill Corcoran. Miss May Greenaway officiated at her mother's funeral in 1964.
Leatha was one of nine Vincent children:
Howard E. Vincent 1910-1964
James Oliver Vincent 1912-1995
Gladys May Muse 1916-2013
Edith Mary Walden 1918-1973

Leatha is survived by her loving husband, Randall Louis Anderson (99), Brother: Wayne P. Vincent of Central Point, Oregon; Sister-in-law: Esther Anderson of Red Wing, Minnesota; Nieces and nephews: Helen (Kenneth) Ellsworth, Anders (Joyce) Lewis, Richard (Barbara) Anderson, Joseph (Beverly) Anderson, John (Diane) Anderson, Linda (Ron) Parker and other relatives and dear friends.
Leatha was preceded in death their foster child, Thomas (Tommy) Kicinski (70), passed away August 2017 in Dunedin, Florida where he lived with his wife, Carol and two sons.
Randall and Leatha met at Bakersfield Convention while Randall was stationed in Redlands, CA. He was a sergeant in the U.S. Army working for the U.S. Air Force as a medic. Leatha knew the Severson girls and came to California to work for a kindly couple as housekeeper and friend. They married August 29, 1943 in Redlands. Since it was during the war and long distance from their families, the wedding was attended only by the local friends.
In 1945, after his discharge they moved to Randall's hometown, Red Wing, MN, where they had a dairy farm. They returned to sunny California some years later and made many friends that they dearly loved. They were well known for having an open home that was cherished by friends and workers.
About a year ago, they moved to Wisconsin to be near relatives that could help with their care. Randall will continue to reside at Heritage Lake Country Assisted Living in Hartland, Wisconsin.
